Dawn Coe-Jones Locker

A native of Cowichan, British Columbia, success for Dawn came provincially by winning the BC Junior Girls Championship in 1978 and 1979, and the BC Women’s Amateur Championship in 1982 and 1983).

After qualifying for the LPGA TOUR in 1984, Dawn’s resilience for success finally paid off when she captured her first LPGA event in 1992 at the Women’s Kemper Open. Two more victories came her way with the 1994 HEALTHSOUTH Palm Beach Classic and the 1995 Chrysler-Plymouth Tournament of Champions.

From an amateur golfer to a successful NCAA career, to becoming an LPGA champion, Dawn Coe-Jones was always proud to show her Canadian roots. Canadian women professionals only have a few individuals who helped in establishing Canadian on Tour and Dawn was one of the leaders in providing mentorship during her LPGA career from 1984 until her retirement in 2008.
